I entered this wetland area with the intention of finding beauty and serenity; but upon finding this little opening I was swarmed by thousands of some of the countries largest mosquitos. Determined to wait for golden hour and find the beauty I was searching for, I held out with my head in my hands, periodically brushing and wiping the pooling blood from my skin.
Whilst I waited for the sun to lower, I had a moment of realisation that sometimes the beauty that we admire from afar can be far different from reality. We exert a lot of energy and resources trying or wishing to attain things that we do not grasp ourselves, whilst being blissfully ignorant to the harsh journey to such unattainable beauty.
