I always try to keep true to the images that appear on my canvas and sometimes I end up with quite strange-looking animals. This time, the animal seems to be a cross between a pelican and a goose, thus the name - peligoose. There is also the influence of a stork in this painting as I seem to have a baby in its beak. This peligoose has a third leg, possibly to keep its extended back section off the ground. The rider is reminiscent of my daughter, who took to her horse with the same abandon as this rider - jumping on it bareback and galloping away.
