One Day

My current inspiration is light. Natural and artificial. The way it diffuses and rebounds off of its surroundings. The way it dances through water or metallic surfaces and the way it appears to be absorbed into the softness of skin. This reference study is taken from a photograph from the resource website Freepik. I was drawn to the vibrancy and almost chaotic nature of the lights surrounding the woman, but her face looks serene and immersed into her environment. The photo is taken in Japan which is currently at the top of my dream destination list!
All though this piece is small in stature it's vibrant and intricate nature cannot fail to draw you in. I love to lose myself in all the pastel marks across the paper.
