The power of the ocean has always been a big influence in my art. A childhood spent by the sea in Southern Tasmania has led to a fascination with capturing the fleeting moment in oil - surrendering control to the palette knife and rag. This is an impasto (textured) work with a small overlay of iridescent oil pastel.
