This was the second piece I created after falling in love with drawing wood.

Yin wood is also my element in the Chinese astrological system, and it represents a desire for constant expansion and growth.

Wood holds years of history and energy from the times we can't even try to imagine. And, though sometimes it's hard to have real pieces of wood in the house, a portrait of a wooden piece can be as nourishing for our spaces.
