Don't you just love the character that farmers and rural people can put into the construction of their mail boxes? They are a showpiece to the entrance of their farms. I couldn't go past this one. The 44 gallon drum isn't unusual as an RMB, but look at the work that has gone into concreting the rock. It is an artwork in it's own right.
The blue sky and ochre rock soften the harsh dry land.
"Country Mail" is an original oil painting on canvas with an internal wooden frame. It is painted around the sides so a decorative frame is unnecessary. The painting is ready to hang.
It measures 41cm by 60cm with a depth of 2cm.
