I cannot resist painting the beautiful native wildflowers of Australia. I see this one in the bush every time I walk around my neighbourhood. The red delicate flowers stand out against the harsh spiky shrub. I especially like it when the flowers are nearly finished and they turn a lovely black red colour.
The colours in the background really make the flower the focal point. It will draw attention no matter where you hang this painting. A great conversation piece.
