Nociceptors Firing refers to pain receptors firing off messages to the brain.
Heavelly textured canvas, mostly painted with various painting knives. I had no plan for this artwork, it developed through layers of textured paint. These paintings often move through a few phases before coming to completion. I literally keep working and reworking the surface it 'works'. It's my preference to work in this way, I want the painting process to filter through the subconscious while I think I'm painting something else.
This painting is on a stretched canvas with the sides painted and a hanging wire attached to the back the so it's ready to hang.
