The inspiration for Banjo Paterson’s, "Waltzing Matilda" came when he spent a period holidaying with Bob MacPherson, a squatter, who ran the property, Dagworth, in North West Queensland.
Combo Waterhole, a billabong in a series of catchments, was once part of the Dagworth property, and along with Walzing Matilda, the inspiration for this painting.
