“Coming up for Air” is inspired by a view at the South Coast...and a beach with a sandbar I know well. It also reminds me of those days when you don’t see life coming at you and you get tossed and thrown about; you do all you can to hold on, to find that moment to rise above it, so you can take a much needed breath. Just like getting thrown headfirst into a sandbar in the surf really! I don’t usually paint such a blue sea but in this seascape it just works. Hope you can relate and this painting will inspire you to keep remembering to come up for air.

Framed in oak, this palette knife painting is created on linen, satin varnished, and like all my work, comes with a COA.
