I'm sure you've heard the sayings "on the other side..." "grass is always greener..." and the like. They evoke thoughts that of a happier place, better than our own. A lot of us might be wishing for the other side at the moment, especially in the midst of a pandemic. That phrase 'on the other side' was the first thing I thought of as I looked across the bay to the lush green bank on the other side of the water. It looks peaceful; some pretty trees for some shade, and a sandbank leading to the edge of some calmer water. A place to sit and rest for a while, under a pretty blue sky tinged pink with the first or last light of day. The other side though isn't always what it's imagined to be. It's not easy to get there. Often we have to go through trials or struggles to get to it - or in this, across a tempest bay or wade through a ravine on the waters edge to go around. But it's worth it isn't it? To push through, keep trying, keep hoping...and then one day we will be on the other side.

This abstract sea/landscape is created with palette knives on artist quality stretched linen, and is framed in a solid oak frame. It is satin varnished and comes with a COA.
