After being on the beautiful South Coast on New Years Eve of 2020, my visit of a favourite spot is tinged with the memories of ash falling from the sky, headlands with an orange glow, and inescapable thick smoke. “Take Me Back" is a palette knife seascape reminding me of how that beach was on all the other visits before those bushfires...and how it will be once again.
The memory of lush green foliage on the distant headlands, white capped blue inlets and seas, sandy beaches, and yes, as is often the case on the South Coast, those grey tinged afternoon skies as the rain moves in.
Framed in a gorgeous natural timber oak frame and painted on 500 gsm primed linen, this is a moody beautiful seascape full of hope in returning to a much loved spot.
Thanks for considering my art for your home.
