As I created this seascape I was reminded of many beachside holidays growing up as a kid with parents who loved to escape to the coast any chance we got. My mum was always searching for the perfect postcard to send back to friends and family. These days, I don't even know if there is still such a thing as a postcard! But this pretty refreshing scene of a calm cove and balmy weather reminded me of postcards sent from the beach when the caption for most was, "Wish You Were Here!"

Created with a palette knife on 500 gsm primed linen and framed in a gorgeous oak frame, this pretty seascape will hopefully remind you of happy beach side holidays too.
