Artwork Description

Home sewing is not as prevalent as it used to be. The hours pouring over which pattern to chose, which bolt of fabric is the right one, are long gone. Using a 1940s Vogue pattern instruction sheet, oil paint and then creating a dress from collaged 1980s patterns was a good way to use up what otherwise might end up in landfill. Working on vintage material that old means accepting the signs of previous use and loving that it's part of the story.
