Ceramic , green oxide, glazes
Signed on the back.
The Raku sculpture resembles a rhinoceros, with exaggerated curved horns and a minimalistic, abstract form. The surface is textured with splashes of white, red, and Raku copper glazes, mimicking the drip-painting style of Jackson Pollock. The body features chrome oxide green.
Research indicates sculptures provide higher emotional support than paintings. Unlike paintings that are limited to two dimensions, the sculpture reflects life in three-dimensional space. Sculptures are tactile; one can touch them and feel their texture, weight and shape. Sculptures surprise and trigger pleasant psychological responses resulting in a profoundly satisfying and genuinely invigorating aesthetic experience.
