Knoll is a beautiful new painting from my Mid -Century series conveying the timeless quality of simplicity in form and colour to calm the mind and senses. Reminiscent of the screen printing textures of yesteryear Knoll captures the essence of spontaneity and freshness.
This painting is named in honour of American mid century designer and architect, Florence Knoll. Florence once stated that one of her most important lessons "was to reduce something to the absolute minimum, working only on the most linear shapes of design".
