As a child growing up in Australia with Scottish parents I was often told stories of the beautiful landscape in the countryside of Scotland. When I was older, I was lucky enough to travel to the UK and witness this beauty for myself. This painting is taken from photographs of the region and the images I created from my childhood stories. The thick 'all prima' style gloriously captures the islands' wild and breathtaking beauty and the rich history of this ancient land.
