Soft blue background with hints of leaves and cascades of mauve violet flowers and vine tendrils peeking through. This is a soft calming piece to warm your heart and celebrates the beauty of flowers in a modern impressionist way There are soft drips to imitate the cascade of the wisteria vines and a quality of steaminess. Deep shadows in the afternoon across the Lily pond with reflections of the grasses and stalks of plants surrounding it. There are patches of blue sky reflected amongst the lily pads and a stunning bloom in soft mauve catching the afternoon sun. This is a reflective piece than will bring calm. Softest pink flowers above the green leaves and soft blue water. There is energy and movement of the water and a sense of calm and rest. The water and lilies fade into the distance and the overall scene has a calming effect. Monet painted these over and over again and I can see why as they are just such a happy thing to capture and a timeless subject. An open field in brilliant greens, a dusty blue mountain range and soft fluffy clouds over a sprinkle of flowers. A delightful artwork in small scale for a small area, desk or to display on a shelf or bookcase. The painting comes with a small stand for display.
