Whilst at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers in 2011 my mind was flooded with colour and flowers I had never seen before. This painting of Black Tulips was inspired by my experiences at the flower carnival. I find flowers an emotional subject to paint, I like to bring happiness and peace into my artwork because that's how I like to feel and to see.
