While doing my residency at Grindell's Hut in the Vulkathunha Gammon Ranges, South Australia, I spent much of time drawing the incredible view from the verandah. With a 180 degree view of the Blue Ranges and Illinaworta Pound, there is endless material for drawing. This gouache piece is based on one of my original pastel drawings from this residency. With a glass of wine, sitting on the verandah, enjoying the view by moonlight, I drew with ink and pastel a large scale night time landscape . This piece has since sold, but I feel this gouache work on watercolour paper captures the essence of that original work.
This work will fit a standard A3 off the shelf frame.
