Drawing on paper
Signed on the front.
The Western Myall (Acacia papyrocarpa) is one of my favourite drawing subjects, as I enjoy drawing the twisted gnarly appearance of these trees. These amazing trees feature prominently around the Upper Eyre Peninsula, South Australia. Unfortunately the shrublands have been degraded by sheep grazing, and there is concern about the survival of these slow growing trees, some of which live up to 500 years old or more.
I have used ink and nib pen, and drawing pens to create this small piece on a rough textured Arches watercolour paper. This work will fit an off the shelf frame.
