The third of the trilogy of works from a visit to Hawthorn Tram Museum. Each of the three scenes were poignant with elderly gents engrossed in the heritage trams. The "Z" Class Tram was the prototype of the modern trams that saved Melbourne's tram system as it was considered to be more economic to use fuel based vehicles. As it turned out a very foresighted move as countries throughout the world are returning to trams to move passengers in their congested cities. The iconic Melbourne trams are much loved and are viewed with nostalgia.
