My canvases start with a layer of acrylic paint exploring the colours seen in our natural environment. I then utilise the instantaneous nature of spray paint to spray patterns of the repetitive grid system of our structural built environment. Hand embroidery is then applied as a finishing layer to my canvases as a way to create connecting patterns between the natural and urban worlds.
