“For me a landscape does not exist on its own right since its appearance changes at every moment, but the surrounding atmosphere brings it to life which gives subjects their true meaning.” – Claude Monet
I am an artist inspired by traditional artists and my love for travelling. Like many of us I am used to being constantly connected to my iPhone and as a result find myself constantly lost overseas with my inability to read maps correctly. As a result I wander and capture these wanderings with photos.
Conflicting patterns from these photos emerge with my attraction to the planned urban environment with the organic and nourishing beauty of a country’s native flora inhabiting this environment.
In particularly inspired by Le Corbusier, Monet and Channel I combine my contrasting photos with the contrasting values of these artists and designers in my exhibiting body of work.
This painting is created on watercolour paper and comes unframed.
