Nixie Forest is part of a collection of seven pieces called ‘Deep Dive‘ an intuitively painted series of abstract work that was created and exhibited for the opening of local Adelaide salon Soul & Grace. Tessa worked closely with the owner of the salon to decide on a colour pallet that worked with the furnishings and design throughout the space.
The name ‘Nixie’ is a water fairy or river mermaid in German folklore. They aren’t the friendliest of fairies as they lure humans in to the water by singing enchanted songs.
