This painting was inspired when I went to Kings Canyon in Alice Springs. I wanted to capture all the different rich red colours and shades of the landscape. In this painting, I paid close attention to composition and space inspired by this glorious land. I used warm and cool to capture the spirit of this land, often associated with the great Australian outback.
