Although it wasn't my intent when I selected this scene the more I progressed with the painting the more I thought it was a great visual metaphor for the saying 'There are no shortcuts to any place worth going'. It's certainly a saying that I hold to be true, perhaps with the exception of hard work if that could be considered a 'shortcut' at all.
This artwork has a charcoal stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
