As with just about all of my work I find my influence and inspiration in nature. The ocean normally features in my pieces, and this is no exception. This piece represents my first venture into pouring medium. I enjoy the unpredictability of the medium and plan to use it more and more. I chose to leave part of the burlap canvas exposed on this one - for contrast of textures and just because I like the colour and it seemed a shame to cover it up.
