RETREAT is one of seven in my OCEAN FOLLY COLLECTION. Great on their own or as a set, these beautiful small acrylic canvases are a tribute to our beautiful oceans which surround our wonderful country Australia. Depending on where you like, the ocean is different not only in looks but in habitat. Waters vary in temperature and so attract different types of marine life and ocean flora. Living by the Bay in Melbourne, I am witness to the ocean changing from a calm “Mill Pond” to a raging surf beach. This particular piece RETREAT is a reflection of our southern waters at low tide after a storm. The waters retreating back into the vast chasm of ocean unveiling much seaweed from that storm the night before, the odd piece drift wood and shell awash and waiting to be dragged back into the deep ocean once the tide rises once again.

Specifications: Quality acrylics used giving long lasting rich pigmentation/lustre. Designed on acid free environmentally unbleached cotton duck, triple coated with universal primer and gallery style folded corners. Protective Matte Varnish applied to protect work. The surface of the painting has a slight textured surface encouraging the viewer to touch and feel the art.
