On a holiday to Tasmania, I found myself on Ocean Beach, a 40 kilometre stretch of wild unbroken beach on the west coast of this beautiful island state of Australia. It was a summer afternoon, yet it was freezing, and I was enchanted by the stormy tempestuous seas and the uninhabited shoreline stretching as far as the eye could see. My problems and fears seemed to fade in significance in the face of this beautiful ferocity and I felt truly liberated and at peace.
