Inspired by memories of a summer holiday in Tasmania. We had heard that Boat Harbour Beach on the North West Coast was beautiful but I didn’t expect to fall in love with the place. It is one of the loveliest beach towns I’ve ever visited – a sleepy seaside village totally unspoilt by development. Even though it was January it was only 16 degrees celsius so a swim was not on our minds. It didn’t stop a group of kids though, (albeit in wetsuits) playing on their pink flamingo floatie, conjuring up images of the idealic beach holidays of my youth.
