Oil on wood
Signed on the front.
This oil painting is an attempt to articulate the beauty of nature in a fleeting moment. In my studio I make quick marks, relying mostly on intuition, usually finishing a painting in one sitting. I try to articulate stillness and motion simultaneously to evoke both familiarity and intrigue in the landscape. The result is a picture that can be looked at many times in many ways, allowing the collector to spend time contemplating the piece with its textures, colours and composition.
This painting is painted on a board and will require framing to be hung. I generally choose not to frame my paintings so that the collector can choose a frame that suits their style.
