n. a fit of abstracted musing

This painting was another that I have painted over. My first feeling was to try a muted tan palette but I just couldn't make it interesting - to have a focal point.
The subtle texture marks don't show a clear wave of pattern or thought..
I tried to go to my favourite color - phthalo blue. But it still didn't have a spark. I used the accent purple from this instance to go full purple and have lighter, wispy sides.
I saw some sparks and thought it was where it should be.

I think it rings true to it's name
