I so love the colours, textures and patterns of gum leaves. This work has many layers, starting with laying a variety of gum leaves on the paper and spraying and splattering liquid acrylic paint and ink over and around the leaves, leaving it overnight to dry. The next day I removed the gum leaves and created the composition using the most nibbled gumleaves as a guide. I used layers of graphite as a final stage to emphasise the patterns created underneath.
