Oil on linen
Signed on the front.
Such comfort can be found in the unremarkable mess of bramble and brown grass - like a worn couch and an autumn fire.
The scene will be familiar to all those who regularly walk the shores of Canberra's Lake Burley Griffin, in particular the Yarralumla basin area.
The piece is on quality unstretched Italian linen which I find gives a superior colour quality and softness of stroke. Thee is ample material round the edges of the work to accommodate any framing choice or just simple stretch over deep edges. I am happy to assist with options, or you can choose from the Bluethumb range for convenience.
I prefer to work on unstretched material for the freedom of size and shape, and also because shipping requires less or no bubblewrap and therefore is more sustainable with less waste.
