Inspired by a recent trip to Noosa in winter, I was fascinated by the beautiful trunks and foliage of the Paperbark trees along the horizon in the cool bite of the morning air. I aimed to capture this scene from photos I had taken and to reflect the distinctly frosty morning light breaking through the branches of the treetops. The cool colour scheme and balanced composition make for a calming art piece that captures the tranquil stillness of a fresh winter's morning.
