This is a series of artworks which continue an earlier theme around figures in the landscape but rather than being expressed as elements inhabiting the landscape these figures are emmeshed within the pictorial elements in such a way as to be become one with the space in habited. These images function as metaphor for memory , stories and rituals, both individual and cultural as expressed by our indigenous peoples. The land itself is the embodiment of these traces and collective story lines and therefore sacred but unlike physical structures these places cannot always be seen but only sensed by those who have the knowledge and awareness to do so. These works are an attempt to honour that deep sensitivity, the very country itself, to the ground on which we all walk.
