In the region where I live there are many locations with waterfalls of varying sizes and rolling valleys with lookouts to take in the view. This painting, although not an accurate depiction of an actual place, is more of a remembered experience of place and the sensation of being in the landscape, looking down into a valley. this work also has been treated with a special pigment that causes the painting to have a soft moonlight afterglow at night once lights are out and eyes have adjusted to night vision.
