About

I currently have an exhibition at Sinclair + May, 167 Queens Parade Clifton Hill, Melbourne.

My art practice brings together the motifs that are described in the landscape’s cycle of growth and change, shapes and configurations that form the starting point for these abstract compositions. Evocative forms and patterns are created during the process of painting and manipulation. I aim to provide an escape from the real world in my work, a space of contemplation where the ebb and flow of colour and form invites the viewer to connect with their own imagination and dreams.

Grace completed a Dip. Visual Art in 2004, a BFA in Painting with Distinction and Honours (First Class) at RMIT University. Working from her studio in Melbourne, she exhibits work in solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally.

Influences

The landscape, the natural surroundings, botanical and geological surfaces, the sky, the ocean, the leaves that fall in Autumn, the frost and chill of Winter, the hot steamy days of summer and the beautiful burst of growth in spring; the colours, the fragrance, the sounds of nature all influence my work.
