Oil on paper
Signed on the front.
This was a study in subtle changes in sunset colours, where the sky and the ground merge together to the point where it's hard to know what's up and what's down. Although my other pieces ended up for the most part with multiple layers, this particular piece needed very little overlay; in some sports there's only one! This allows the brush strokes to come through, which really appeals to me.
Once the piece was completed I looked at it with fresh eyes and was struck with an image of Jupiter, thus the name. It will look amazing in a 5 x 7 white frame :)
