From a snorkelling experience revelling in the light and shade under the piers in Port Phillip Bay, Melbourne. The weedy seadragon is only found in the southern waters of Australia and is the marine symbol of Victoria. This and the two sea stars are worked separately and then hand stitched on to the background canvas.
