One of my Migration series of paintings. The sea represents memory, passage and transience, recalling my childhood migration to Australia. The streamers, a common symbol in each painting in this series, signify broken ties with family and homeland but like memories, linger long after departure. The painting is on high quality Italian linen. The edges are painted and it is ready to hang with d hooks and wire attached.
