Dulux has revealed its forecasted colour trends for 2024. The trends reflect an inner desire for positivity and spaces that nurture within our homes. Three colour trends are identified as Solstice, Journey and Muse. Solstice takes inspiration from the pared-back Scandinavian design style, but adds to this a Mediterranean and desert influence. The palette brings together warm colours with cooler accents and detail such as braiding and primitive sculptural forms. Journey is about the story of an interior – from bringing together global influences from our travels to reflecting on the history of our ancestry through objects and items handed down through time, the trend is maximalist in nature with an eclectic palette to reflect this. Muse strikes the perfect balance between nostalgia and modernity, resulting in spaces that are timeless and simultaneously contemporary. With a strong '70s influence and modern twists, Muse pays tribute to the design icons that have come before.
