About

Kylie Fogarty employs contemplative, subtle but bold expressive marks to explore her response to the natural world.

Loose winding organic forms, delicate, highly detailed line work and softly blended tones convey her fascination of cloud formations, coastal scenes, and narrative moments of time.

A multidisciplinary artist based in Canberra, her works have been exhibited both nationally and internationally through numerous exhibitions.

Fogarty is represented in Galleries throughout Australia with her works being held by public and private art collectors worldwide.

Her intaglio etchings, Brushtail Possum (2013) and Foraging Kiwi (2015) are now permanently archived in the National Gallery of Australia, with the Animalia Print Exchange.

Kylie has illustrated two books, The Misadventures of Chris the Sheep, a collaboration with the RSPCA ACT, Children's book; Azure Assurances - a book of interpretive drawings of poetry by Hobart writer Crystal Davies, and along with other illustrators, contributed to the children's book, Wendel, by Victoria Jones.

Prizes won by Kylie include the [email protected] Perm-a-Pleat Art Critic Award 2018 (Highly Commended), Bentley Art Prize- Grafton Scholarship in 2011. Her line drawing “Bird on a Rock” was acquired for the use in a broadside gift, for International acclaimed Poet Anne Carson, for ‘Nox’ by Stanford University.

Kylie uses Professional Grade Paints, Pencils, Pens, Pigmented Inks, Mediums, Canvases and Fine Art Papers in all her artworks. They are also varnished where appropriate to protect your artworks for years to come.
