About

I am a retired school teacher. I am also what is now called a grey nomad. I travel the Australian countryside with my german shepherd dog, enjoying the company of those we meet and finding the peace and beauty of sitting under a gum tree.
The colour, space and ever changing aspect of the Australian outback inspired me to start the never ending journey of capturing it's diversity in paint. A pile of rocks, a distant mountain, a stand of trees or just the sun shining on a new day is enough to make me park my bus and start a new landscape painting. I choose to work with acrylics due to lack of space for drying work in my mobile home.
Having almost exhausted the wall space of my family and friends I have decided to give everyone else a chance to bring my Australian outback into their homes. I hope you enjoy it.

Influences

The two greatest influences on my work have been Wayne Clements and Cynthia Haumann: subject selection, design, technique, light and use of colour.
