‘I should go visit Nan more often’ is a series of tea towels inspired by the great big generation gap between Nan and I.
This gap has created difficulties in communication and understanding from a young age growing up to present times.
What has developed over the years is nan asking a series of pestering questions that have proven to be difficult to answer.
My upbringing was very different to the one she knows or rather the one she knew.
Along with my lifestyle choices and political values they have created a difficult relationship between us.
As a response to years of abrupt questions and awkward conversations with Nan I have created a series of photographs printed on tea towels.
Bold with themes of sex, drugs, alcohol and technology that are relevant to my experiences of my generation.
