Grew up on a wheat farm in Queensland. Always loved drawing.Married with three grown up children and 5 grandchildren.One daughter lives in France and we have a great interest in exploring France and studying the French languageFor the SOUL - I study and participate in art, go to films, read books, subscribe to two theatres.For the BODY - I walk and play tennis For the MIND - I learn French play bridge and play scrabble and am interesting in the sharemarket.For the COMMUNITY: I belong to an art studio with about 50 artists. I am a member of two book groups - one in French. I belong to two tennis groups.I undertook the large project of writing the history and Conservation Management Plan and then restoring the heritage 1824 Collits' Inn in Hartley Vale, winning National Trust and Lithgow Council awards for Best individual restoration of a heritage building in 2000. Also received a grant from Heritage Council of Australia. Restaurant there, run by others, won 2 hats several years and Best Country Restaurant in Australia. Lots of awards for all the years 2000 - 2007. It was an enormous restoration project as had to be faithful to the materials and the history. The inn was very dilapidated. We live in Glebe and have a holiday house in the Blue Mountains.
