Artwork Description

The primary inspiration for this artwork (the first in a series) is the bushland and birdlife abounding nearby at Wamberal Lagoon and Nature Reserve . I have attempted to capture my visceral response to the natural beauty found there .The artwork alludes to a lush tapestry design with multi-layers of colour and vibrancy with a very tactile surface. The medium of oil paint along with printmaking plates (recylced polystyrene containers) have been used to create this artwork.
