An ode to great ocean road

Inspired by the vast, steady coastline of the Great Ocean Road, this work was when time felt suspended. It became a reminder that even in stillness, the world continues to move — that tides return; seasons shift, and difficult moments pass. It holds a sense of reassurance that everything will be alright.

Aashna is an abstract artist based in Melbourne exploring two parallel visual worlds. Her work is rooted in quiet attention and close observation of the natural world — the movement of water, the stillness of trees, the warmth of the sun — all explored and realised in acrylic and pen.
