Flowstate

Flow State is about creating without thinking too much. The lines and shapes came naturally. It shows the feeling of being relaxed, focused, and letting the artwork happen on its own.

A lot of water was used to create this piece, letting the blue pigments move freely across the paper. There was no planning or thought — just water, colour, and natural flow doing the work.

Aashna is an abstract artist based in Melbourne exploring two parallel visual worlds. Her work is rooted in quiet attention and close observation of the natural world — the movement of water, the stillness of trees, the warmth of the sun — all explored and realised in acrylic and pen. Through her practice, she seeks to capture a sense of connection — an invitation to slow down, to notice, and to return to a place of calm.
While her abstract water series is an emotional landscape, her pen work is a meditative practice.
